Willapa Harbor Health Foundation

Established in 1999, Willapa Harbor Health Foundation’s mission is to assist Willapa Harbor Hospital in meeting the health care needs of citizens in North Pacific County. This mission is accomplished by receiving, maintaining and disbursing funds for charitable or educational purposes.

The Foundation is managed by Board members of local volunteers who are dedicated community members and business leaders committed to achieving the Foundation’s Mission. Through the years they have offered renewable scholarships to students entering the healthcare field and returning to the community; supported needs of Willapa Harbor Hospital and Alder House; donated to POOL for seniors and children; supported local food banks, and sponsored education for the community and local schools.

Currently, Willapa Harbor Health Foundation sponsors two events each year. “Festival of Trees Dinner and Auction” held in late November, is the only fundraiser for the Foundation. The second, “Breast Cancer Awareness” held in October, is a community health education event.

Your gift to the Foundation helps to assure community health care, assisted care, and other health-related projects, programs, and services now and in the future.

Willapa Harbor Health Foundation is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a charitable 501(c)3 organization. Your gifts may qualify as a tax deduction under federal regulations.

Support for the Foundation can be made through memorials for your loved ones, bequests from your will or life insurance, trust, securities, endowments, real estate and cash. Donations can be made by contacting the Foundation at the address above and designate how your donation will be used. Your donation will not be used for administrative costs. Appreciation will be shown by a personal note sent to family members or organizations informing them of your generous donation. All donations of $250 or more will be recognized on the “Giving Wall” located in the hospital’s main lobby.
