Financial Assistance
Consistent with our mission, Willapa Harbor Hospital and Willapa Medical Clinic provide financial assistance to all eligible individuals who meet the criteria within our Financial Assistance Policy. It is WHH’s policy to provide, without discrimination, medically necessary care for everyone regardless of their eligibility for medical benefits, financial or government assistance. This also includes non-Washington state residents.
To apply, simply obtain an application from any registration area or the business office and complete the required information. Return the application to one of our Financial Assistance Representatives located in the Business Office.
Hospitals which are nonprofit and recognized as 501(c)(3) organizations (Willapa Harbor Hospital) shall limit amounts charged for emergency or other medically necessary care provided to individuals eligible for assistance under this Financial Assistance Policy to not more than the amounts generally billed to individuals who have insurance covering such care and may not collect “gross charges” from such individuals. See requirements WAC 246-453-040 and WAC 246-453-050 and IRS 501(r).
Our Financial Assistance Program is based on a sliding fee scale extending up to 300% of the federal poverty level.
To qualify for financial assistance please follow the steps below:
- Complete the Financial Assistance application
- Provide information about your family’s gross income (income before tax deductions)
- Sign and date application
- Return the application
After all criteria has been met, a determination will be made based on income information and family size provided within 14 days after submission.
